About the Book

These are poems coming from the heart and mind of a bi-polar woman. For many years I had a very hard time getting my feelings out. I started off by just writing words, words on paper. A lot of it at first didn’t make any since. My mind racing so fast, it looked like a big jumbled mess. But at least I was getting my feelings out, in a safe way. I’m hoping that in some way my poems will help someone else or let them know they’re not alone.

About the Author

My name is Laurie Ours and I have Bi-polar. I have been trying to keep it under control for 27 years. I have been through a lot and have experience in what you have to do to get through everyday. The bottom line is it is a constant struggle to keep everything in check. I have struggled to raise two kids and live a normal life up to this point. I am hoping with my experiences I can help others by writing this book to cope with this illness. I am also hoping this might help family members to understand what might be going through the minds of the mentally ill.
