About the Book

Let me encourage You” is written to do just that to encourage you when you are going through some trials. Satan is real and he is attacking whoever, because he knows his time on this earth is limited. This book tells of a few ways that ways that the devil tried to destroy me, but as Bishop Paul S. Morton say, I’m still standing. The devil is still doing the very same thing he was doing way back in the Old Testament days. He asked, Eve, did God really say that. He’s asking us the same question to try and make us doubt God.

About the Author

My name is Shirley Simonton. I was born in Flint, Michigan and came to live in Dubach, Louisiana when I was about 4 or 5 years old. I attended Hico Elementary and Dubach High School. I graduated from Grambling State University and receive an Associate in Child Development in 2005. I am a member of Greater Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Unionville, Louisiana where William G. Fields, Sr. is my pastor and Penya Fields is the First Lady. I am a Sunday School Teacher, sing in the choir, and an usher. I was inspired to write this book several years ago, but like most people I ran because it was nothing I wanted to do personally. So, I gave in a few years ago and wrote what God inspired me to write. Me, just an ordinary person that God decided to use is such a thrill. You know God uses ordinary people like you and me.
