About the Book

These devotionals were birthed out of a personal quest that ended up being shared with our church, Nara International Christian Center, in Ikoma, Japan. Years ago I heard a life-changing phrase, "We become like who we worship," followed by "Nearness brings likeness". These two statements changed my whole spiritual outlook. My personal desire wasto really grasp the character of God. So as i worshipped Him, I would be changed to become more like Him. I believe the more we grasp His character we will also be able to trust more, our faith will be strengthened and hope becomes solid, almost tangible with the power of Knowledge of God's eternal trustworthiness. About the Author

Robin Schroeder grew up the daughter of missionary parents and lived with them in the Philippines and Japan. She has worked in and around missions for most of her life. She served with her husband, Jerry, in Japan for 16 years as a missionary and co-pastor of a thriving international church near Osaka, Japan. She has traveled the world, encouraging other missionaries to see their calling as missionaries in the face of adversity. When she returned to the states in 2007, she helped lead and organize mission trips and local homeless ministries. She has been a youth pastor, a children’s minister, nursery coordinator, and missionary. Robin has a heart for God and a love for others that is expressed through her hospitality, her writing, and her sharing with younger women. Through her loving and caring interactions with those around her, she has been invited to lead Bible studies in both English and Japanese. Her home is an oasis of hospitality for family and friends from around the world. She is a terrific cook, catering to unique dietary needs and palates. Her writings are an expression of her heart, molded by her devotion to God, her love for others, and her personal journey to seek a closer relationship with God.
