About the author I write so that my voice can be heard. To escape the darkness that surrounds me and enter a place where rays of light promenade and shadows run unconstrained. I write to transform the scenery and allow colors to collide. I write to enter a place where voices purr and no-one casts judgment, where arms are open wide and eyes glisten. This place of mine is chimerical; it waits for inspiration and sparks ideas. It waits for my pen to fill in the lines, to give it a purpose, to give it a voice. About the Illustrator My name is Richard Cook. I was born in Tiffin, Ohio December 7th 1979 , son of a doodler and a dreamer. I have drawn or painted for most of my life, and after a few years of searching. I found what I was looking for. I became a Tattoo Artist. Now with Ten years under my belt, I spend more time painting and drawling than sleeping. I find that I care more about what inspires me more than ever these days. I Take in from nature, and people. And like to study the darker side of the psyche. That’s why I’m grateful to be apart of this sinister collection of poems.
