About the Book
The California Delta is where the central valley’s two main rivers, the San Joaquin and the Sacramento join together to flow into the San Francisco Bay and thence out the Golden Gate and into the Pacific Ocean. This novel is about a New York Mafia dope smuggling ring that decides the Delta would be an ideal place to set up an illegal distribution center. There they could bring drug carrying boats up the river to a central warehouse facility, and there transfer them to autos and trucks to be distribute throughout the west.. The problem was that Seth, a retired river boat Captian, stumbled on the operations and with his son, Enos, a recent Stanford graduate and new FBI agent, with the help of Terry, a UC woman’s volleyball team captain attempted to foil the entire scheme. How they went abouit is an exciting tale of incredible danger, intrigue and sometimes romance with a few sexual encounters thrown in for spice. The two of them barely survived death attempts during the uneven struggle. How it ends in a major showdown between the Good Guys and the Bad Guys is an exciting finish to a “never a dull moment” action filled narrative
About the Author
John E. Cyr came to California from Montana at 19, a fugitive from the Great Depression. One of his first jobs was with a Company that owned and operated a 3600 acre tenant farmed “island” in the California Delta.. He lived in the heart of the Delta for several years working as the Company representative with the tenant farmers. While living there as a single man he became very familiar with that vast playground where hunting and fishing were exceptional, which he always enjoyed. Later he moved into Stockton but always thought back about his happy life there.
