About the Author

Beth Ann Bassein, now 81, is a retired professor from Southern Colorado State, Pueblo, CO, having taught in the English Department there for 25 years. She is the author of two books in Women’s Studies, Women and Death and The Matriarch’s Power, several collections of poetry, and the recent Released Into the Wild, a book of nature essays accompanied by photographs and art work. Jumping Yucca draws on life experiences that enrich and make possible a stimulating retirement in one of Colorado’s most attractive settings.
