About the Author
Walter Spath is a successful pharmaceutical industry executive who began his sales and marketing career at Pfizer, Inc. in New York City. After five years, the author was recruited by Searle Laboratories in Chicago where he advanced to corporate vice-president. The author left Searle to join the biotechnology industry in San Diego. While there, he was instrumental in acquiring Dura Pharmaceuticals which grew from $2 million in sales to $200 million in ten years. Mr. Spath held the position of Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing and served on the board of directors. He lives in San Diego with his wife.
