About the Author

Mary Dougherty is a wife of a navy man and a mother of one beautiful little girl. Her daughter Kiara was the inspiration to write these stories. Mary is very close with her daughter and wanted to create something that they both will be able to cherish for years to come and share with others. These stories have a deep and personal meaning and Mary is hoping will build a bonding experience for those parents that read them with their children. Mary wanted to bring life into this character, Fossy, for whom she and her sister dreamed up when they were children. Mary and her family currently live in California.
