About the Book

About the Author

Giacomo Kristos, despite his exotic pen name, is the all-American boy. Born in the midst of the baby boom in the San Francisco Bay Area he grew up loving pizza, football, baseball, and books. Though Giacomo had many sports heroes, his first writing hero was found through the whimsical words and world of Dr. Seuss. As he got older, Giacomo divided his time between playing sports and immersing himself in the classics. As he read more and more, Giacomo realized his destiny was that of a writer. Yet he also knew he needed a formal education. Always interested in human nature Giacomo graduated with honors from the University of California at Davis in 1984 with a BA Degree in Psychology/Sociology. During his college days he had completed his well-rounded education by learning about anthropology, biology, archaeology, Spanish, French, and a vast array of other subjects. Meanwhile he kept his dream, to be a writer, alive. Giacomo, managed to have some of his articles, poetry, short bio's, and short stories published. As he spent the next 20 years bringing joy to the elderly in the allied health field, Giacomo was writing stories, poetry, and plays for his eight children. In the last decade, he realized that it was time to have some of his whimsical tales turned into storybooks. He truly believes that his whimsical tales about love, believing, and trust will strike a chord with children, and parents alike. Giacomo says, "In an often times shaky, unsteady world, young children can share a closeness with their parents as they venture into the unchartered world of a good old fashioned storybook." Giacomo, a true lover of humanity thinks the message of love, caring, and sharing needs to be a universally broadcast. Giacomo has lived in the lovely Sacramento Valley for the last three decades. He remains an avid fan of the Giants, A's, 49'ers, and Sacramento Kings.
