About the Author

Eleanor Simon grew up in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn along with her twin sister, Betty, and older sister, Shirley. Her mother immigrated from a small town in Poland and her father immigrated from Bialystok, Russia, both running from persecution of the Nazi’s. She’s lived in New York City, Woodstock, NY, Maine, Colorado and now in Jersey City, New Jersey. She’s gone through the hippie movement, the Viet Nam tragedy, the country life, the city life, the artist’s life, bringing her to the now of her life. She works within the Jersey City Board of Education. Her art forms are pottery, watercolor and Haitian dance.
