About the Author

Ruth Whitaker Burke Born September 29, 1924 in the beautiful mountains of Southwestern, Virginia. She lived in Richmond, Virginia after graduating from High School and worked in the legal department of a large insurance company, after which she went into the business of selling real estate. She gathered further education at Virginia Commonwealth University with classes in painting, writing and ancient history. As astronomy intrigued her, she took advantage of classes at University of Richmond. Though painting and writing are her first two loves - she has recently involved her interest in photography.
