Little Leaf's Prayer

“Mother Maple,” said Little Leaf, “Jesus is really great isn't He?” “Yes, He is,” she answered. “Is it true that He hears all our prayers, and cares about everyone?” “Yes, that’s true. God cares about all of His creation.” “Even me?”he asked. “Yes, Little Leaf, even you.” Little Leaf longs to play with the children. Mother Maple tells him that all things are possible with God. So, Little Leaf says this simple prayer, "Dear God that made the sun the sky, the birds that fly, I really love these children and would like to play with them. Could you please help me find a way? I don’t know how you’ll do it, but I know all things are possible with you, Amen.” A hope is born, a request is made, then patient waiting begins. How will God answer Little Leaf’s prayer? This is a wonderful story of faith and trust. The next time you see a leaf fall from a tree, think of Little Leaf.
