About the Book
Bo Mackenzie is retired and living in seclusion on the high desert of Oregon with two unlikely companions - Red, a teenage rodeo Queen that drifts into his life, hell bent on breaking his will, and Woofer, a wily German Shepard of impeccable tastes and sound advice. Life is good until Bo visits a psychiatrist in an attempt to reveal his childhood memories, of which he has very few. While exposing himself to the beautiful and mysterious Doctor Susan Roark, he suddenly finds himself thrown headlong into a bizarre revolution against his government by her stepfather, Tom Dillinger. A shipping tycoon with powerful friends in the highest of places in government, Dillinger is determined to change the course of U.S. history. Mackenzie will tempt you to question the way you thought you think of life. His passion for woman, rebellious nature, eccentric humor, and military training sets the stage for a chain of events that will rattle your sensibilities and launch them into an adventure that challenges their moral compass and perception of reality. From the sweltering heat of L.A. to the frozen north of Alaska’s Arctic, Bo Mackenzie embarks on a covert mission to help paralyze the government, all the while distracted by a growing fondness for Doctor Roark that leads to the shock of his life. You will share the thrill of flight from the cockpit at treetop level as he helps Dillinger set a high tech web into play. As the plans for revolution and deception unfolds, the ghosts of his childhood begin to appear in foggy dreams. The further into his life you fall, the less able you will be to determine his next port of call, but happy to stay aboard and race up over the next horizon. Laced with assassinations, heartwarming detours, and philosophical conflicts, Bo Mackenzie will entertain you, outrage you, and make you smile.
About the Author
Lawrence Allyn was a Cold War military brat, raised on planes, trains, ships, foreign soils, and hamburgers while watching for those ‘dirty reds’ to invade at any moment. At the age of seventeen he entered the military for a few years, followed by a short second childhood. Finally, he got serious and became a landscape architect. After three decades of projects from Alaska to California he and his wife of twenty years hightailed it to the Oregon desert where they work from home and enjoy the great outdoors. Lawrence is also a published photographer and licensed commercial pilot.
