Long considered one of the most reliable and consistent trumpet players in the music business, Flea has a rich background of experience. His credits include lead trumpet with both Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Les Brown, and many other big bandleaders. A “first-call” brass player, he was active in the New York recording industry for many years. As a leader, he conducted the Top of the World show band at the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, during its early years and has appeared as a soloist and guest conductor with other well-known musical organizations. Now living in Sun City near Hilton Head, South Carolina, Flea is still actively playing for Broadway productions at the local arts center.
