About the Author

Elia Spang, a housewife, mother, and grandmother, was born during World War II in the rural hills of Ohio. She grew up in a simpler, caring time when one knew their neighbors and people looked out for one another. She has spent her life unselfishly devoted to her husband, children, and the elderly. Another important part of her life has been her appreciation of the beauty of nature and animals. Elia and her recently retired husband live in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
