About the Book
Born on a stump farm in the hinterlands of a Northwestern state, Andrew Stricker follows an uneven, fragmented path in a variety of roles – farm hand, menial jobs, steel worker, soldier, air-craft electrician, fire-fighter, and country western musician.
As the latter, he traveled in Europe for eighteen years in a converted German mail truck. He experienced life from the murky depths to the ethereal, and the language is appropriate to the subject.
Eight years into the European trip, while camped by the shores of the Black Sea in Romania, he discovers that he has been blessed with the divine gift of laying-on-of-hands healing.
The book is a travelogue social, political, sexual, and spiritual odyssey.
It is a mighty effort to bridge the gap between John of the Cross and Henry Miller.
