About the Book

The Wanderer is a biography in three parts. The first part, The War Bride, deals with the events of World War II, and the author’s meeting his future wife. The second part, Tale of Two Cities, introduces the author’s two sons, one living in America, the other in Germany. Living part of the year in America and part in Germany, the author analyses the everyday life in these two countries. The title of the third part, Pursuit of the Wind, is taken from the Old Testament Book Ecclesiastes. In this part the author debates how much of his career was motivated by vanity, and how much contributed to the common good.
