About the Book

Cancer @ 38 is a non-fiction story about Shawn’s journey through colon cancer at a young age of 38. Since he was young, he had physical problems and had surgeries for them. How his wife dealt being with him through good and bad times. When they found out about the news and how he, his wife, and son dealt with the news, the surgery and the recovery process. And how their daily lives changed in three hours. During recovery time, his wife joined numerous cancer groups to help the fight against cancer.

About the Author

R. S. Weeks lives in Iowa with her husband Shawn and her stepson Zac. The inspiration behind her book came from her husband’s diagnosis, surgery and recovery from colon cancer. She is a colon cancer advocate for Colon Cancer Alliance, Colorectal Cancer Coalition, and the American Cancer Society. She is working hard with the fight against colon cancer. This is her first book.
