About the Author

About the Author: Richard Schalhamer was a high school physics teacher before becoming a full time writer. He has been recognized with many honors on both the local and national level, including, Teacher of the Year. He retired from teaching after 25 years in Jefferson County Schools in May of 2003. He is a member of Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers and Lighthouse Writing Group. This is his first published children’s picture book. He currently lives with his two teenage sons on a ranch in the mountains of Colorado.
