About the Author
I was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. I grew up with little money and no camera, but always wanted to take photographs. When I was 17 years old I signed up for the United States Navy. I went to boot camp about a week after my 18th birthday, and by March the following years was stationed on the USS Ford. When I arrived, I received my enlistment bonus , which in turn bought my first camera. My first camera was a Sony Cybershot 5.1 mega pixel point and shoot. I ended up taking over a thousand photographs with that very camera. I quickly realized I really like to take pictures and a year later was itching for a new professional (looking) camera. I opened an account with Dell and bought my first dslr. I bought a Olympus E-500 with 2 lenses a mono pod and a carrying case. I never knew what I was going to be doing with all the nice photos I was taking, until my 3rd deployment. One of my supervisors told me that a “cool” thing to do would be to make a coffee house book for my photographs. I immediately felt it was a good idea and proceeded with my very own coffee house book.
