About the Book

Prologue The critical but necessary simplicity of an accurate, unadulterated reflection, obtained by viewing your self in a mirror, should—if you are to accept the reality of who you are—portray a precise image, free of any self-indulgent illusions. Expending any effort, no matter how minute, to artificially alter your image serves no productive purpose and will, in the end, be detrimental to your chances for success. Any misguided attempt to mentally alter the image that you project to create a false-tailored image, to the astute, is easily recognizable. Any image created solely to obscure and subvert shortcomings, at the very least, will encourage and nurture a serious challenge to your credibility, your competency, and your capacity to excel in any chosen endeavor. An imagined self-portrait lacking credible substance will, without too much effort, be identifiable by alert contemporaries. Deceiving yourself is a cynical charade with a limited tenure. Your dedicated commitment to achieve your goals will neither, by any measure, be easy nor will they be devoid of strife and disappointment. You must never, under any circumstance, trivialize your competition’s abilities as well as the depth and scope of any cogent circumstance that you may be confronted with. Every conscious effort should be made not to be bridled and hampered by illogical impulses or delusional skills. Any attempt to corrupt the legitimacy of your own profile will invariably serve only to shepherd you back to the point in your life where you began your odyssey. Skillfully applying your own worth and talent will act as that dependable compass needed to navigate the road that lies ahead. All too often, suppressed capabilities are unintentionally shackled by imaginary restraints that discourages individuals from venting and applying their potential to successfully follow their ambitions. Their self-imposed marginal abilities create an environment without hope or confidence. This is especially so when they witness the success of others with similar backgrounds. Unfortunately, their lack of positive aggressive behavior only encourages them to find comfort and solace by living vicariously through the lives of others they choose to emulate. Content with fantasizing, they remain complacent, denying themselves the opportunity to test their own abilities to seek the rewards of a fulfilling lifestyle. A sorrowful travesty on their neglected potential, their lives did not have to end where it all began.
