About the Book
Samuel Benjamin, a nineteenth-century deputy U.S. marshal, finds himself in twenty-first century Oklahoma City due to an unexplainable natural phenomenon. Realizing he cannot return to his own time he seeks information about the past life he left behind while attempting to capture a wanted fugitive that came forward in time with him. Befriended by Paul Crabtree, an Oklahoma City police officer, and Lawrence Harris, a university history professor, they both assist him in this venture. They hope to uncover the mystery that caused Samuel to appear 113 years into the future and help him return to his own time, or adjust to the world with all of its unfamiliar machines and fast-paced lifestyle.
