Grandma's Juice

About the Book

“Grandma’s Juice” is a wonderful children’s book that warms hearts and touches the lives of all who read it.
The story is about Jacob my son and my mother an angel who watches from heaven above.
The beautiful illustration was done by Rosario Espejo. “Grandma’s Juice” was inspired by the fact that my mother Mrs. Bernice K. Cole (wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, teacher, educator and community activist) had hopes that Jacob would always remember her. Jacob was two years old when she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She loved Jacob very much and she enjoyed drinking Citrus Punch Juice.

My mother made her transition on May 18, 2002.

Jacob was three years old. When we were shopping in the supermarket, Jacob would say “mommy can we buy some “Grandma’s Juice.”

When he said those words I knew my mother’s wish had come true.

One day while shopping Jacob said those magic words instinctively we both began singing “Grandma’s Juice” is filled with love… The book was born!
