Reading in the Spirit of This Book…

This book is not to be read as a story, nor is it a self-help guide. It is not intended to preach the gospels to you.

Rather, this book is the result of nearly sixty-four years of living life, both the ups and the downs of it, moving from poor to rich to naïve to (hopefully) a bit wiser. Moving from the fast lane to a slower one, I stopped to ponder, “Now just what was that all about?” Perhaps you are ready to do that also.

It is my hope that you will read a chapter or two a day, stop and think back over your life and perhaps jot down some of your own insights into your unique experiences. I have left a page for your reflections.

May God and his Holy Spirit guide your reading and lead you to a wonderful and blessed life, filled with meaning and true joy.
