Growing up in a small country town would have been considered being raised in poverty by today’s standards but with the majority of the families under the same conditions we never knew it. There was twelve years of attending Catholic Schools with the poorest grades being in the subject of Religion. After becoming an adult was fortunate to never be without a job. This sometimes meant relocating to various places in the country to stay employed. The first job after military obligation was completed was as a union laborer at a cement plant where the pay was real good for the local area. Continued education and when an opportunity became available relocated to another area with a cut in pay. This was thought to be a very bad move by family and friends but two years later most of the workers at that plant were laid off. Final job until retirement was the manager of a Design Engineering Group with a large company. Relocating to different areas of the country caused exposure to various cultures and personalities. After retiring and returning to original roots left the question of what was the future supposed to consist of and if there was a special purpose we were created for. In design engineering you put it on paper and reviewed it so this was the inspiration to write down the past and see if there were clues about what life is about.
