About the Book

In today’s world, stress conditions are becoming life’s rule rather than its exception. No matter where we turn, we can’t seem to get away from stress. A majority of the physical and mental health conditions that most of us experience at some time in our lives have strong connecting roots to stress and its lack of management. Yet as disturbing as the stress epidemic and its consequences may be, it offers a fascinating opportunity for positive change and personal improvement. Every stress that presents is an opportunity you control. It offers a chance to either rise up or lie down. Each and every person has the natural, inborn potential to rescue themselves and rise above the chaos. The rescue is about solutions and fixes to personal problems, the use of prevention strategies, and the vital prioritizing and care of oneself. All that is needed is the commitment and desire for stressless living.

About the Author

Diane Schofield has been working in the field of stress management for fifteen years. She has lectured and conducted stress management workshops for people of all ages, from elementary aged children to senior citizen groups. She has written articles on the management of stress and has been interviewed on talk radio. Her current work is helping people with life changes and personal transformations. As a registered nurse, having educated and counseled people in many different areas of disease management, she has witnessed the detrimental and at times, devastating effects stress can take on the body and spirit. It is her hope that in these very challenging times, people will awaken to the responsibility of nurturing and caring for themselves. That as individuals and collectively as a society, we step up and commit ourselves to the management of stress and the re-building of our health and peacefulness.
