About the Book

This is a group of short stories containing various subjects, but mostly about a boy named Albert, his adventures and the other young-uns and folks along the way. I hope you enjoy these tall tales inspired by the same told to me as I was growing up in the Texas Panhandle.

About the Author

Bo Drury, born Elizabeth Paulann Lockhart and raised in the Texas Panhandle had the advantages of growing up in the country and developing a great love and respect for nature and the plains. Listening to the tall tales of her father and hearing the stories of many of her ancestors as they braved the hardships of the new land and were themselves instrumental in taming the Wild West, from her 6th great Grandfather Daniel Boone to her paternal grandparents making the run for land into the Indian Territory of Oklahoma, she has story after story to tell. With a ranching heritage on one side and a newspaper family on the other her desire to write started at an early age after reading the story of Betty Zane by Zane Gray. To date she has written several short stories of the west and of the folks who lived during that time. Living in Texas near her four sons, fi fteen grandchildren, twenty-three greats and two worthless dogs she loves, you will fi nd her busy ‘painting’ stories of the West either at her easel or on her computer.
