About the Author

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Gayle Sawyer Mitchell Tishey. I have resided in Myrtle Beach S.C. and surrounding area since 1968.Poetry has been a part of my life since I was a young girl. My poetry has been kept to myself for a long time. I now want to share it with you. Some of my writing are only daydreams and wishful thinking. Others are darker shades of gray that my brothers and I lived. We had a very unbalanced life and I am still haunted from some of these shadows. Several of my poems have been accepted by the LITERARY GUILD and QUILL BOOKS, and the INTERNATIONAL LIBRARY OF POETRY. I have a wonderful husband two grandchildren who already know too much, one feisty great granddaughter, and two very grown children. My circle of friends are few, but they are my extended family. I am not much on progress because we are too greedy with our MOTHER EARTH. It would be so nice to give her a rest. Let’s give it a try! If by chance you wish to remember me; do it with a kind deed or word to someone that needs you. I need the love and kindness from my family and friends.
