About the Book

This book is based on a true story of my life. The names have been altered to protect their privacy. This story is told through my eyes as a little girl living with my three siblings. It tells how we survived during our kidnapping and abuse and the murder of a teenage girl. Tragically, at the hands of our own mother and her boyfriend. We stuck together, never having a chance with the life that we were giving. We never allowed ourselves to stop fighting for our lives no matter what was handed to us. We had to survive, and with God’s help, somehow we did.

About the Author

Biography of Pamela Faith My name is Pamela Faith. I was born in Waukegan, Illinois on July 24, 1957. Growing up, we lived all over the United States. One reason was my dad was in the navy. After one bad marriage, I met my soul mate, Larry, and married him at the age of twenty-two. He was a farmer in Wisconsin. I then went to school to become a CNA. After five years, my husband and I started a CBRF (group home). We’ve been doing this for twenty-two years. We take care of four developmentally disabled men that live with us. It’s not a lot of money, but it’s very satisfying. I waited to write this book about my life until after my mom passed away so I wouldn’t hurt her feelings. I forgave her for everything and took care of her for the last eight years of her life. I will always love her.
