About the Book

The goal of the Young Physicians of Family Medicine is to represent the interests of young family practi ti oners by recommending educati onal programs and tools for young practi ti oners to further their careers, presenti ng issues concerning this group to the American Academy of Family Medicine Board of Directors, providing guidance to the AAFM regarding implementati on of new young physician programs, developing communicati on tools that provide a forum for discussion on issues perti nent to young practi ti oners, promote communicati on eff orts and networking among young physicians and their peers, foster leadership among young physicians by helping them prepare for future roles in organized medicine, independent practi ti oners and/or at the Academy. Young Physicians are those up to age 40 or within three years of completi on of residency training.
