A 15,000 Mile Journey documents the 1921 transcontinental automobile trip of Davis L. Barlow. The story originally appeared from 1922 to 1923 as a weekly installment in the Pocahontas Times, Marlinton, West Virginia. This version is slightly edited and includes photographs of the people and places Barlow visited on his excursion.

About the Author

Robert Laing lives in Roanoke, Virginia, with his wife Diane and son Daniel. He holds a B.A. degree in history from Roanoke College and a M.S. in special education from Radford University. Over the past few years, Laing has researched the life and times of Davis Levi Barlow, a native of Pocahontas County, West Virginia.
