Reflections From My Heart

About the Book
This poetry was written while working as a Substance Abuse Counselor. My clients felt they had reached the bottom. They felt like everyone saw them as worthless. I saw them respond to anyone that would take the time to truly believe they could get well, and become productive members of society, to find love and acceptance once again. The last section was written after I retired and I began writing about my feelings, about my experiences as we traveled.
About the Author
Which life do I write about? The one as a daughter, or as a wife and mother, or the one as a divorcee. Maybe it should be my life as a Substance Abuse Counselor and now as a retiree. As I look back over my life of 66 years, I see them all as separate lives and one segued into the next making a smooth transition. Each paragraph contributing to the chapters as a whole. There are still chapters to write. Currently we are full-time Recreational Vehicle travelers working as camp hosts for the Forest Service or the Bureau of Land Management. We meet many wonderful and interesting campers. I also continue to write.
