About the Book

To introduce myself, my name is Rhonda Lafaye Adams born in Danville, Virginia, a small town in the southern portion of the state. I was born in April springtime of the year, which happens to be represented by the diamond. Yes, I am a diamond in the rough, going forth trying to publish a book of poetry. I am the older of two children and have enjoyed the blessings of a large, loving, strong family. My family consists of Four Generations of Adams Women: Grandmother-Callie, Mother-Sumatra, Daughter-Rhonda (Me) and my Daughter-Andrea who all enjoy writing. The rest of my family is my Brother and Nephew with tons of Aunts, Uncles, Friends, Colleagues and Students. I am a Teacher - hopeful Artist who enjoys writing poetry and script using a self produced from of Calligraphy. Care for all children, my education has provided pleasure in the profession of teaching. Education from Methodist University (Bachelor of Science) and George Washington University (Master of Education) has assisted me in attempting to accomplish the goal of completing a book, hopefully the fi rst of a few in the future. My education and professional experiences along with a supportive Christian family has made the talent of writing a joy easily expressed through my Poetry in “Prayers, Love & Memories”. In conclusion, I thank Christ for the strength, patience and tolerance to attempt this task; I pray this book provides the comfort and joy to all as intended, God Bless You.
