About the Book
About the Author . . . Barbara B. Miles Jackson, a native Texan, worked for a while at a day care. The children loved to play dress up while waiting for their parents – so did my own grandchild. Children see life through daily encounters. Poetry is a way of expression. The Haikus poem tells a truth. I have poems published in compilations and a collection of poem published in a book titled In The Courtyard.
About the Author
About the poet… Barbara {B.} Miles Jackson, born in 1948, grew up in Texas, studied poetry as a student in school. On class day of the senior year, recited “If” and went on in a different direction. The poetry of other poets inspired me to go forward, changing myself when I could not change my situation. Later needing a way of expression and focus, I turned to writing poems. Writing reminds me, we must travel through life situations with as much grace and dignity as possible. I have poems published in the US and Europe. I started writing in 1995 for an Open Poetry Contest. This book is a collection of these poems as a semi-finalist.
