About the Book

This book is a collection of essays on education written by a culturally diverse group of high school students who reflect on the importance of education and what it means to each of them. The inspirational experiences of their family members and friends who struggled for an education are heartfelt. Their opinions on U.S. education as compared to education in other countries are enlightening, and their suggestions for educational improvements in schools and in the classroom are eye-openers. Overall, you will be surprised to read where their hopes for future career paths will lead them, and how they plan to live in an educated society.
