About the Book
This is a story about my observations of life starting at the age of three in Chinatown, Los Angeles, in the fifties. How I earned my spending money by keeping opium pipes filled at the age of four in my father’s nightclub. How I allowed my mother’s party friends tuck me in at night for tips. A story of how I became a survivor born into a world of sex, drugs, alcohol, and abuse, and the dreaded fact that I was half-Asian in an all-white world. How I danced my way around the world, searching for my purpose in life and to validate my sanity. A story to help those who can identify with my life and release the internal hurts and life’s disappointments and the broken promises. To live in the present, not the past. This book is a “disguised” memoir of my life. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. If you choose to believe you are a character in my story, you may or may not be. I will deny it.
