About the Book

Magical Moments...Short stories, some very funny and some quite sad, about an ordinary man’s life; from his youth in the depression days; to the adventures of a growing boy; the courting of his wife and the rising of his family. You will find yourself either laughing out loud or shedding tears as you read. They will probably remind you of some of your own life’s “magical moments” back in the “good old days”. These stories may even inspire you to write a book of your own “magical moments” for your grandchildren and great-grandchildren to read.

About the Author

I was born in Kansas City MO in 1931; grew up in Austin, Texas; joined the Navy at seventeen; saw action in Korean War on the USS Bremerton, a heavy cruiser, as an electronic technician; married eighteen year old Hildamae Lesage in Baton Rouge in1952; earned a BSEE from LSU in 1960; worked for aero-space industries as a technical writer for several years and then operated my own retail electronic business until I retired. I joined a literary writing group for senior citizens after I retired and started writing about my many adventures and miss-adventures in life to amuse my children and grandchildren. Several of my stories have been published in the local newspaper, The Baton Rouge Sunday Advocate Human Conditions column.
