About the Book

ATL Nappy Heads is a project that set out to subdue the curiosity of the author. It gives intimate profiles of individuals in the great city of Atlanta, GA who have locs. One will enter their lives as he reads why individuals decided to loc their hair. I know the reason(s) that I decided to loc mine but I wanted to know why others decided to take this journey. ATL Nappy Heads will take readers on a spiritual, knowledge filled, and personal journey that will open their eyes to new horizons and hopefully dispel some of the myths they may have about us Nappy Heads.

About the Author

Travis J. Edwards is a teacher in a metro Atlanta school district. He has been teaching since his graduation from Clark Atlanta University in 1993, with a B.A. in History Education. He is a Florida native, born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL. He has a passion for life and gaining higher knowledge of self which is essential to his well being. He is a dedicated father and son.
