A fictional narrative based on real events portraying the special love and loyalty that individuals from all surroundings reserve for each other. Some of the characters names have been changed to protect the innocent.

About the Author

Th e author, Antonio Gonzalez, Jr., aka Tony Gonzalez, was born on May 8, 1942, in Honolulu, Hawai’i, and raised in Palolo Valley, Oahu. As a juvenile, Tony Gonzalez oft en got into trouble with the law and was arrested and incarcerated many times over. In 1961, he graduated from Kaimuki High School where he starred as an athlete in football and track. Shortly thereaft er, he accepted a football scholarship to Boise Junior College in Boise, Idaho, now renamed Boise State University. In 1963, Tony Gonzalez realized his dream and became a police offi cer with the Honolulu Police Department (HPD). Over a period of ten years, he garnered numerous written citizen commendations for his performance, including being named the Honolulu Police Department’s “Policeman of the Year,” in 1973. For the past 18 years, he has been the proprietor of two Clean and Sober Homes situated in Waianae, Oahu and Palolo Valley involving males from all walks of life, many of them homeless, or from the Hawai’i prison system. “Uncle Tony” as he is aff ectionally called lives on the West side of Honolulu in beautiful Waianae, Oahu. Th e spunky sixty-eight year old Tony Gonzalez has a spouse named Wendalen Marie Aguiar, two children, Dawn Marie Bridgman and Tony S.K. Gonzalez, a stepson Edson Martin, and fi ve grandchildren. Th is is his fi rst book.
