About the Author

“In 1998 the company that had just hired me was sold. Four weeks later a pink slip left me unemployed for the first time since age 18. It was scary. “Late one night, after emailing what felt like the 10,000th resume that week, I sat in a daze at the computer…and heard a voice. Ten minutes later a story called Big and Little Trains was on the screen. It was a cute story, but it lacked a hero. “It was ten more years and another pink slip, when the voice came back – five minutes later One Little Train was born.” This book is for the hero every child dreams they can be. May it inspire your children! Pat received a BS from the United States Naval Academy in 1975. Three days later he married the love of his life Debbie Czape. Their son, Scott graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering and is a businessman, local celebrity and 2011 “Olympic champion” in Milwaukee, WI. Daughter Kelly is an officer in the United States Marine Corps and holds a BA from Western Michigan University.
