About the Book

Jesus never entered into the equation as the Smith family planned their move from New York City to Left Fork, South Carolina. Career advancement, safe living, peace, and the hope of keeping jobs in the United States for this small town were reasons Mike Smith rationalized as he made his decision to move. However, man’s plans are often superseded by God’s plan. (Jer. 29:11) While Mike Smith starts out as the family leader, it is Mary Margaret, his 9-year-old daughter, who in the end takes the lead and changes this family’s direction forever.

About the Author

This fi rst-time author’s love of southern heritage, tradition and food is apparent in her writing. Her servant heart and love for all comes through as her characters reach out to teach, nurture and share unconditional love. Her family-oriented lifestyle is apparent as the center of infl uence for her characters turns into an extended family. Spreading the simple gift of salvation for all has been on her heart for years, and she hopes her book will share this message in such a way that all who read it will desire a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
