About the Book

Arby is a young cockatoo who finds the perfect family to live with, but then faces the challenge of a lifetime when everything falls apart. He learns the true meaning of sacrifice as he gives everything up for love. For Arby, life seems hopeless until he finds new friends and a new identity. His journey takes a strange country road as he becomes Arby the Singing Cockatoo! Meet Arby and his friends as he discovers that everything in life has purpose and meaning. About the Author

Amy A. Gracia is a high school English teacher. She is married and has four adult children and a grandson, who is often her consultant! She enjoys writing fiction as well as non-fiction and has presented her writing at several academic conferences. Originally a song writer, Arby the Singing Cockatoo: Arby Finds His Voice is her first children’s creative non-fiction. Amy has a BA in English and a BS in Special Education from Bridgewater State College. Currently, she is working on a Masters in Literature and Creative Writing and a Masters in Educational Leadership. In her spare time, she likes to read, swim, and play the guitar.
