About the Book
For more than eighteen years now my humble column has appeared, on a bi-weekly basis, in The WORLD, Central Vermont’s favorite newspaper. (Note: If you looked for the column every other week, but started on the wrong week, you missed it completely.) This book is a collection of many of those writings, so you have another chance. The earliest ones are not here, as pasting stories from slate tablets onto word documents is a difficult thing to do. -If you find any bits of wisdom between these covers, it’s not my fault.-
About the Author
George E. Shuman has been exploring the world of writing since his early teens. Faded letters of acknowledgement from President Richard Nixon and former NASA administrator Thomas O. Paine reflect this. George’s first published novel, The Smoke And Mirrors Effect, is a time-traveling, space-faring, metaphysical jaunt into the realm of the unlikely, but not of the impossible. A novelist, columnist, and high school English and creative writing teacher, George continues to follow his passion for the careful crafting and polishing of his next story. Here George offers his lightest, and deepest thoughts, as published in The WORLD newspaper. Enjoy!
