About the Book

This book makes three basic points: The first is that the Christian Church had drifted from its foundation on Jesus Christ so that it often appears as the enemy of much that Jesus taught and did. The second truth is that we now rest upon a different foundation, that of the Apostle Paul – without understanding and perceiving Paul’s mission and his struggles. The third issue is we have left the Kingdom of God and created our own Kingdoms of this world: our Denominations or our (mega) Churches. This is not a book for the scholars, though they are most welcome. It is for ordinary people who simply read their Bible and ask, “What’s going on? What does God seem to be doing?”

About the Author

John E. Sandberg grew up in Detroit, Michigan with an interest in Music. Early on he felt called into God’s service. Following graduation from the University of Minnesota, he entered North Park Theological Seminary. Along the way, he married Mary Hanson and they had two daughter and 5 grandchildren. He has been a Pastor, Pastoral Counselor, Chaplain and teacher in many different settings. Now in his seventies, he writes his first book which brings great fulfillment to his life. This book started when he was faced with the awareness that significant parts of Paul’s letter to the Romans seemed to not square with the teachings of Jesus. From that revelation, everything else has flowed. It is an intriguing story. Perhaps you should listen to him.
