About the Book
James Volant graduated from Lake Orion, Michigan High School in 1967. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1969. In 1970 he was sent to Viet Nam where he served with the 101st Airborne Division. During his tour he received several medals including two Bronze Stars. Jim was a State Trooper for 36 years, serving 30 years on the E.S. Team (SWAT). He now has a company; T.H.O.R. (Tactically Honed Operational Response), teaches Ju Jitsu at his Academy in Gladwin, Mi. and works part time for the Gladwin City Police Department.
