About the Author

Vee DeShawnna-Lee was born in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Charles and Sarah Kilgore. She is the third eldest of seven children. Vee is married and has two children, Leslie and Ira. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University and has a master of science degree in administration. Vee loves singing and is an active member in her church’s choir. She also loves and is passionate about reading. On many occasions, Vee would think about what she thought would have been a better ending to the novel. She decided to write her own.
