About the Book

Every faith in the world is based on fabrication. That is the definition of faith—acceptance of that which we imagine to be true, that which we cannot prove. Every religion describes God through metaphor, allegory and exaggeration, from the Early Egyptians through modern Sunday school. Metaphors are a way to help our minds process the Unprocessable. The problems arise when we begin to believe literally in our own metaphors. Religious allegory has become a part of the fabric of reality. And living in that reality helps millions of people cope and be better people.

About the Author

Author BIo A little information about what inspired me to write this book. In September 2005, my left knee became quite swollen and very painful. I was doing a tile job (over 35000 square feet –the whole house). I spent a lot of time crawling around on my knees and thought I may have gotten a tile sliver in my knee. I kept working. Soon, my leg from the knee down to my foot became very swollen; turning a dark red and even pulsating. I lay on the floor and elevated my leg above my heart and the swelling subsided a little. I then called a very dear friend Kricket, who lived about 200 miles from where I was at that time; she took me to the emergency room. They informed me that I had gout in my knee and the infection had spread to my lower leg (called a “bakers cyst”). The infection was so bad; all systems in my body were shutting in order to fight the infection. When I was waiting to go into the operating room, the last thing I remembered, was saying aloud: “Please God, let me see Kricket one more time.” When I woke up after the operation, Kricket was there, holding my hand. My Guardian Angel. Call it a Miracle, whatever you like. But I believe I was saved for a purpose in life. I was in the hospital for almost two months.
