About the Book
Xavier and the Polka Dot Fish is designed to open dialogue about good character between educators, parents and young people. In light of the large number of disgraced public figures, it is imperative that we teach our students about making good choices which will affect their lives for years to come. Xavier and his classmates learn about the six pillars of character education with the help of the Polka Dot Fish who appears in Xavier’s dreams.
About the Author
I was born July 16, 1952 in Port Arthur, Texas. I was the seventh of eight children born to Herman and Lillian Anderson. I received both my Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Prairie View A&M University and my Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I have worked in the field of education for 39 years as a successful teacher, principal and central office administrator. I am also a published poet
