About the Book

Phoebe is a twelve-year-old girl who forgot how to dream. However, a visit to her grandmother’s house sends her on an adventure to a magical place where there is a war raging between fairies and halos. She befriends Plunkett—who isn’t a fairy or a halo, but a human just like her. Together they try to find a way to stop Temalock, the leader of the halos, from destroying the world she arrived at—and possibly her own.

About the Author

I have wanted to be an author for as long as I can remember. At an early age, I was introduced to role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Vampire: The Masquerade. It was a great means of escape and also a good way to meet people. Unfortunate events led me away from pursuing my dream of being a published author. Instead, I worked in the field of dentistry for twenty-five years. However, recent changes have put me back on the path of becoming an author. The decision to write for young readers is due to my two beautiful children—my eight-year-old son, Orion, and my six-year-old daughter, Stevie. My husband, Esteban, and I have been together for nearly fifteen years, and he has been my inspiration and my best friend.
