About the Book

This is a non-fiction story about a young girl's childhood experience. It tells of and experience she had whose lesson lasted a life time. It tells how she convinces her sibling into following her lead, sort of like her partner in crime. The situation she finds herself in sort of revolves itself, although she ultimately finds a way to resolve the situation herself. She yet had to face the wrath of her parents. However the way that is resolved is left yet another lasting impression on the heroine. This story is modeled after a real life experience in the author's life. Although the setting take place in another generation it is still applicable today.

About the Author

I was born and raised in Philadelphia. I attended public schools, when in the eleventh, my English teacher Ms. Lipschitz gave the class a homework assignment to write an essay on any subject we chose. While my mother was in the kitchen preparing dinner that evening I went into the living room and wrote my essay. I turned it in on time the next day and at the end of class the following day Ms. Lipschitz called me aside with my essay in hand and said, "You did not write this" it was all I could do to hold back the tears. I went home and asked my mother to rewrite the essay which she did. It was not until several years later while in the U.S. Air Force did I pick up the pen to write a Christmas story for the base newsletter. I later married and had four sons. The children were the one good thing out of the union. While my children were still small I wrote and self-published a children's book. When the children were older I went back to school and earned my B.A. I taught school and later became a social worker. I took an early retirement and now devote my time to writing and art work.
